Saturno y el cometa, entraban justo en el campo visual de los binoculares, sobre una bonita y colorida zona estelar. La posición aproximada del cometa era (11h 40m; 2º 30’). Con Binoculares: Coma redondeada de tono gris-verdoso, subiendo en brillo hacia el centro. Cola y anti-cola visibles, orientadas este-sudeste a oeste-noroeste; la del este, destacada, con una extensión de 50’(A P 112º) y, la del oeste, muy débil, de 12’(A P 295º). Estrella SAO 118977, mag. 8,3, a unos 18’al norte del centro del cometa]

Con 7×50 B de tono verdoso de 18′, se aprecian dos colas muy claras, la orientada hacia el O-NO más destacada y la segunda cola, enfrentada, más sutil. Con Newtoniano 8” f/5 (50x) la cola más destacada era muy extensa, con partes más vagas que otras, como de apariencia fragmentada, seguramente más alargada que 20’de arco. Del lado opuesto, la cola era corta y sutil, de unos 7’, pero comenzaba más ancha. El núcleo era casi estelar, de 5ª magnitud y, su coma, gris-pálida, redondeada y algo aplastada]
