M1: es un valor teórico estimado (mag absoluta) de la magnitud total de la coma. 
Las Magnitudes CCD suelen estar cerca de 2 magnitudes por debajo de la visual; entonces 
no es de esperar coincidencia entre la observación visual (m1=--) con la CCD (m1=-- CCD; 
debe tenerse en cuenta en la toma y medición el de cubrir la totalidad de la coma visible.
Se aconseja utilizar aberturas pequeñas (concentración) y con filtro V.

  1. Buen dia! Espero avistar a C2015 V2 JHONSON si el clima ayuda…para junio’17.
    Abrazo a todos Amantes como yo de la Astronomía.. en especial los Cometas,

  2. Siempre. Busco algún cometa razonablemente brillante de al menos de mag 10 o menor. Pero nada😞, es mi observación favorita: la de Cometas, pero desde la zona donde vivo el cielo es de hasta mag.3
    Y con mi telescopio Newton 800mm f4 es difícil ver cometas débiles. Mmm 😠

    • Hola Eduardo, por cierto para ver cometas es aconsejable cambiar de sitio, pero esto no siempre se puede 😦
      Corregí en parte el texto. Si es un Newtoniano de una focal de 800 mm y f/4 la abertura es de 200 mm o 20 cm.
      Lo que indicaría que podrías ver menospreciado y con dificultad -por las condiciones de tu cielo- cometas de hasta magnitud 11 casi seguro.
      Algo muy importante de aclarar a todos aquellos que consultan las efemérides cuando se fijan en la última columna de datos está el llamado “m1” ese valor es teórico y orientativo (tomar como pronóstico por decirlo de otra forma) y el fijado por el organismo competente (MPC) conforme la magnitud absoluta en el momento del descubrimiento y confirmación.
      No significa que lo veremos con esos brillos en el futuro. Deben fijarse luego de ver las efemérides, en Cometas Observables los datos orientativos de las observaciones reales y en la páginas últimas Observaciones para ver el brillo que está siendo registrado para cada cometa. Suelen ser en muchos casos de 2 a más magnitudes más brillantes al pronóstico.
      Contame ¿donde es tu residencia (ciudad y país)? para ver que es lo que tenes disponible este mes o ver en los siguientes si se te favorece en algo la tan ansiada observación cometaria.

Ya vi mi nombre en el listado, junto a muchos grandes y experimentados observadores de cometas (Michael Matiazzo, Chris Wyatt, tu persona, por nombrar unos pocos) y es un honor estar, dando ese pequeño aporte, y para mi, muy grande, ya que la observación de cometas es por la cual me he inclinado, en definitiva, en lo que astronomía observacional se refiere.. Mucha preparación, Dedicación, Perseverancia, y nutrirse día a día, con los aportes, sugerencias y el apoyo invaluable de tu persona, dada la amplia experiencia que posees..
